Sr. PCB Librarian (Starship)

📋 Description

• Founding member of Starship PCB Librarian team; lead library parts; extended hours may be required.
• Create/update/maintain libraries: symbols, footprints, 3D STEP, data in Altium/Xpedition.
• Review and validate component data against datasheets and specs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and standards.
• Organize libraries with version control, naming conventions, and lifecycle management; audits.
• Collaborate with PCB designers, engineers, MFG, and procurement to resolve issues.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Altium/Xpedition) for library tasks and train team.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years creating schematic symbols and footprints with ECAD tools.
• 8+ years in high-reliability sectors (aerospace, automotive, medical).
• Proficiency in Python, Altium/Mentor Xpedition scripting.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and board layout (Altium or Mentor Xpedition).
• Cross-functional project management and collaboration with engineering.
• Attention to detail, data validation, and familiarity with supply chain tools for part searches and compliance.
