Sr. Kubernetes Engineer

📋 Description

• Install, manage, scale Kubernetes and RKE clusters using Ansible and Terraform.
• Collaborate to design and deploy Kubernetes-based platforms for SpaceX teams.
• Own processes and tools you create to support SpaceX mission goals.
• Propose and implement improvements using change control methodologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver resilient, scalable solutions.
• Define and follow standards for systems design, testing, and deployment.
• Foster collaboration and upskill the team in Kubernetes expertise.
• Drive automation to reduce toil and admin overhead.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours work.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in CS or STEM + 5+ years experience; or 7+ years without degree.
• Experience deploying Linux servers in physical/virtualized environments.
• Strong Linux shell skills; kernel modules, cgroups, pki, iptables.
• Experience supporting and scaling containerized apps in Linux environments.
• Automation with Ansible and Terraform for provisioning infrastructure.
• Experience managing Kubernetes installations.
• Experience with Python and Golang for automation and integrations.
