- Architect system feature tradeoffs and create IQ specs with product and cross-functional teams.
- Design and procure IQ Lab components (Charts, Light Booths, LED targets).
- Define optical requirements and lead lens selection/qualification.
- Develop Golden Tuning targets for ISP (AE, HDR, Color); tune stabilization (EIS) for motion.
- Collaborate with Hardware Eng to ensure CRA matching between lens and sensor and prevent optical degradation during high-G events.
- Manage external partners (JDM vendors, labs, consultants) to design, validate, certify, and manufacture.
🎯 Requirements
- 10+ years in Imaging/Optics; deep knowledge of CMOS sensors and ISP tuning (Sony, ON Semi, or Ambarella).
- Vibration & Motion Expertise: Proven experience in managing image stabilization (EIS OR OIS) and characterizing optical performance in high-vibration/high-shock environments.
- Must have shipped automotive or high-end imaging products from bring-up to mass production.
- Proven record navigating tradeoffs between design, manufacturability, schedule, and cost.
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive independent work.
