Sr Director, Tooling Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead a tooling engineering team delivering tooling for safe, efficient, and repeatable production.
• Define and execute long-term tooling strategy across design and manufacturing.
• Oversee tooling design, fabrication, and commissioning to improve throughput.
• Manage tooling portfolio, driving cost, schedule, and performance.
• Partner with design and manufacturing for tooling readiness on new products.
• Standardize tooling documentation and preventive maintenance practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 12+ years in tooling design/manufacturing; 6+ years in people leadership.
• CAD/PLM expertise: NX, Teamcenter, CATIA, SolidWorks.
• Led large-scale tooling initiatives for complex hardware.
• Strong GD&T, tolerance analysis, materials, machining, composites.
• Lean manufacturing and DFM; factory automation and tooling.
