Sr. Counsel, Intellectual Property

📋 Description

• Keep pace with Archer product plans and competitor roadmaps.
• Develop and implement commercial IP strategies per product and market.
• Educate engineers on IP and manage disclosures, trade secrets, and filings.
• Manage Archer patent portfolio; perform patentability assessments; liaise with counsel.
• Support IP-related contracts (supply, licenses, joint development) and related transactions.
• Support M&A due diligence, IP litigation, and dispute-resolution efforts.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-10 years of substantive patent prosecution, counseling, and/or litigation, with at least 3 years with an operating company or agency.
• Technical degree in physics, mechanical, electrical engineering, or computer science.
• Experience supporting commercial contracts (components, materials, and equipment) and joint development/manufacturing agreements.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple projects under pressure.
• Authorized to practice law in a US state, or equivalent IP experience.
