Sr. Build Engineer (Special Projects)

📋 Description

• Develop and perform acceptance testing of manufacturing processes to enable high-rate production
• Design precision tooling to eliminate assembly errors and minimize cycle time
• Question requirements, simplify/optimize, accelerate, and automate hardware production
• Develop and/or automate in-situ inspection techniques to increase yield and decrease cycle time
• Manage transition of parts and assemblies from development to high-rate production
• Resolve manufacturing discrepancies while interfacing with the quality team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 5+ years of aerospace manufacturing or production experience
• Master's degree in mechanical/manufacturing/aerospace/materials/industrial engineering (preferred)
• Experience with build, assembly, integration, or testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, or structural systems
• Mechanical component and/or tooling design using 3D CAD software
• Experience with design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)
