Our QA team focuses on audio quality testing of embedded systems to ensure reliability and consistency by validating end-user scenarios on real devices, including speaker performance, microphone quality, two-way communication, echo cancellation, and noise reduction capabilities. Our scope includes audio functional assessment, audio integration testing, and component and system-level verification. We collaborate with the audio-acoustic team during the daily tasks.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a QA Engineer with experience in testing embedded systems with an audio/acoustic background. You will work on validating audio quality and its components through component, integration, and end-to-end testing, covering interactions between hardware, backend, and the app.
Responsibilities and Duties- Contribute to audio test execution during the release cycles
- Report, investigate, and validate audio-related bugs to ensure product quality
- Create, maintain, and improve test cases
- Take part in bug triage, task allocation, planning sessions, and Go/No-Go meetings
- Report testing status and results to stakeholders
- 1.5+ years of experience in manual testing
- Experience in testing of embedded systems
- Knowledge of testing methodologies
- Experience in UNIX/Linux
- Understanding of the audio signal processing (frequency response, distortion, noise)
- Understanding of network principles
- Knowledge of embedded systems principles
- Experience with bug tracking systems
- Experience in writing test documentation
- Good written and spoken English
- 1+ years of experience in audio quality testing or audio system evaluation
- Working knowledge of audio measurement equipment and acoustic testing
- Familiarity with audio signal processing concepts (frequency response, distortion, noise)
- Experience with audio recording and analysis software
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify audio quality issues
- Experience in debugging hardware and firmware
- Basic scripting or programming skills for test automation
- Experience with low-powered systems
