As we scale, our learning ecosystem must evolve quickly — especially our central learning platform, Canvas.
We are looking for a highly skilled, solution-oriented LMS Administrator with deep experience managing Canvas in a complex, fast-moving environment. This role blends platform expertise, operational excellence, systems thinking, and creative problem-solving to ensure Springboard’s learning experiences run smoothly and can be rapidly adapted for new programs, enterprise /channel partner requirements (e.g., Amazon Career Choice), and instructional models.

LMS AdministratorThe LMS Administrator role is ideal for a high-functioning, organized, adaptable operator with significant experience running and customizing LMS environments (preferably Canvas) for diverse and evolving use cases.
To be successful, you should have strong technical skills, excellent troubleshooting instincts, and a customer-centric mindset. You’ll collaborate daily with cross-functional teams — Learning Experience, Product, Engineering, Program Operations, and external partners.
Responsibilities Canvas Platform Administration- Serve as Springboard’s primary Canvas administrator, owning configuration, permissions, course setup, sub-accounts, and integrations.
- Manage and optimize Canvas features, settings, and workflows to support new program launches, improvements, and enterprise partner requirements.
- Oversee LTI, SSO, API, and third-party tool integrations, ensuring stability and security.
- Provide timely, high-quality support to internal stakeholders (LX, Ops, instructors, mentors, program success teams).
- Investigate issues related to course configuration, user access, grade passback, automations, or LTI tools — and resolve them with minimal disruption, working with partner teams when necessary
- When needed, direct internal stakeholders to documentation required to solve an issue or complete a task.
- Translate business needs into Canvas-based solutions using features like:
- Blueprint courses
- Canvas APIs
- Custom JS/CSS (when appropriate)
- User roles & permissions
- Automations and SIS imports
- Design and maintain scalable templates and workflows for new program areas (e.g., Medical Assisting, Pharmacy Tech, Sterile Tech, Data Driven Strategic Thinking).
- Maintain accurate systems for tracking issues, requests, releases, and platform updates.
- Partner with Learning Experience and Product teams to ensure courses are built, tested, and deployed with operational excellence.
- Proactively monitor Canvas updates and recommend improvements or changes internal teams should prepare for.
- Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to evaluate new tools, integrations, and system enhancements.
- Align with Program Operations to ensure learners and instructional staff have a seamless experience across the student lifecycle.
- Support enterprise implementations (e.g., Amazon, University partners) by configuring Canvas environments that align with contractual or instructional requirements.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience administering Canvas.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a “figure it out,” mindset.
- Familiarity with Canvas APIs, LTI tools (Canvas Apps), SSO, and data workflows.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfort “pushing” or following up with internal/external partners when needed to move work forward.
- Experience supporting scaling learning organizations (online bootcamps, employer-sponsored learning).
- Experience with SCORM, instructional design workflows, or course QA processes.
- Prior experience with healthcare or workforce development programs is a plus.
