We are now looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager, preferably with experience of frontend/fullstack development and a user-centered agile development approach. The team owns the contract configuration domain and is transitioning from owning many frontends across our internal UI suite within the Payout area to building a platform that supports other financial product teams in building their own interfaces.
You will evolve and further develop an empowered engineering team, and work in close partnership with the squad’s Product Manager and directly with our stakeholders to enable Spotify’s business model and to help creators around the world to make their living.

Experienced in leading, coaching and mentoring software development teams delivering stable, maintainable and scalable software
Thrive on solving complex problems in an iterative fashion, delivering frequent tactical wins while making progress towards longer term strategic goals.
Have solid development experience in backend or frontend (data engineering is nice-to-have) - you can perform peer code reviews and architectural reviews, as well as ship code on your own.
Possess very good communication skills, and an ability to tailor communication style to different audiences (team members, customers and end users, senior management etc.).
You preferably have enterprise process domain knowledge and have engaged with quality and compliance standards such as SOX and ITGC.
