Tech Lead, Web Core Product & Chrome Extension - Vilnius, Lithuania

Speechify is looking for a hands-on Tech Lead to guide the evolution of our Web Core Product and Chrome Extension from our Vilnius, Lithuania office. In this leadership role you will own the technical direction for core web experiences, mentor frontend engineers, and partner with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-performance features that delight millions of readers worldwide.

What you’ll do

• Lead the development of the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension
• Define the technical roadmap, architecture, coding standards, and best practices
• Mentor and grow a high-performing frontend team; participate in hiring and onboarding
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to plan and deliver features
• Own performance, accessibility, security, and reliability of web experiences
• Review code, drive quality, and promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Make data-driven decisions to inform product direction

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend development experience
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript
• Proven track record building Chrome extensions
• Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring teammates
• Deep understanding of web performance, accessibility, and modern tooling
• Familiarity with REST and/or GraphQL, modern CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL, Node.js, or serverless architectures
• Experience shipping software at scale and working with cross-functional teams
