Overview
Speechify is seeking a Tech Lead to guide the development of our web core product and Chrome extension from Recife, Brazil. You will own the technical direction, architecture, and engineering excellence for the frontend team.
Responsibilities
- Lead frontend engineering efforts for the web core product and Chrome extension
- Define and evolve the technical roadmap, architecture, coding standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, and QA to deliver high-quality features
- Mentor engineers, review pull requests, and contribute to hiring and onboarding
- Ensure performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability across web platforms
- Coordinate release planning and ensure timely delivery
Qualifications
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern frontend tooling
- Experience with Chrome extension development
- Proven leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills
- Experience with testing, CI/CD, and scalable frontend architectures
