Speechify is a leading text-to-speech software company that helps people listen to written content across devices. We are seeking a Tech Lead to shape our Web Core Product and Chrome Extension initiatives from Poznań, Poland.

Role Overview

As Tech Lead, Web Core Product & Chrome Extension, you will own frontend architecture for the web core product and the Chrome extension, mentor a team of engineers, and collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver scalable, high-quality web features.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend architecture for the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension
• Mentor and grow a team of engineers; review code and set engineering standards
• Collaborate with Product and Design to define roadmaps and ship high-quality features
• Drive performance, accessibility, testing, and quality assurance
• Define and enforce best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and code review processes
• Collaborate with backend teams to ensure scalable integrations

Requirements

• 6+ years of frontend development experience with a strong track record in leadership
• Expertise in React and TypeScript
• Experience building web applications and browser extensions (Chrome)
• Strong knowledge of web performance, accessibility, and testing (e.g., Jest, Cypress)
• Experience with modern frontend tooling and CI/CD workflows
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL, Node.js, or related backend skills
• Familiarity with security best practices and privacy considerations
