Tech Lead, Web Core Product & Chrome Extension
Speechify is seeking a Senior Tech Lead to own the frontend architecture of our Web Core Product and Chrome extension from Porto, Portugal. You will lead the frontend team, mentor engineers, collaborate with product and design, and ship high-quality features that improve the reading experience for users.
What you'll do
- Lead and mentor the web frontend team for the core product and Chrome extension.
- Define architecture and implement scalable frontend solutions using modern tooling and best practices.
- Partner with product, design, and backend teams to deliver impactful features with a focus on performance.
- Review code, establish engineering standards, and drive quality and reliability.
What we’re looking for
- Senior frontend experience with a track record shipping web applications.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and experience building Chrome extensions or web extensions.
- Ability to lead, communicate clearly, and collaborate across teams.
- Experience with performance optimization and modern frontend toolchains.
