Role

Tech Lead, Web Core Product & Chrome Extension — Palma de Mallorca, Spain. You will lead the frontend architecture, mentor engineers, and drive the delivery of high-quality, high-performance web features and the Chrome extension that powers Speechify's browser experience.

What you'll do

• Architect and own frontend direction for web core product features and the Chrome extension.
• Mentor and grow a talented frontend team; lead code reviews and best practices.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver scalable, maintainable web applications.
• Drive performance, accessibility, and quality across web platforms.
• Define technical roadmap and ensure reliable delivery with high-quality code.

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend development experience; proven leadership of engineering teams.
• Expertise with TypeScript and JavaScript; strong React experience.
• Hands-on experience building Chrome extensions and WebExtensions.
• Experience delivering production-grade web applications with performance optimization and testing.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
