About the role

Speechify is seeking a Tech Lead for the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension based in Odesa, Ukraine. You will lead frontend efforts, shape architecture, and mentor engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead frontend development for the web core product and Chrome extension.
  • Define and drive the technical roadmap, architecture, and coding standards.
  • Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote test coverage and quality.
  • Collaborate with product and design to ship features with strong UX and performance.
  • Own build, deployment, and performance optimization processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading frontend teams and shipping production-grade web applications.
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks; experience with building Chrome extensions is a plus.
  • Experience with web performance, accessibility, security, and scalability.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across product, design, and backend teams.
