About the role
Speechify is seeking a Tech Lead for the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension based in Odesa, Ukraine. You will lead frontend efforts, shape architecture, and mentor engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead frontend development for the web core product and Chrome extension.
- Define and drive the technical roadmap, architecture, and coding standards.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote test coverage and quality.
- Collaborate with product and design to ship features with strong UX and performance.
- Own build, deployment, and performance optimization processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading frontend teams and shipping production-grade web applications.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks; experience with building Chrome extensions is a plus.
- Experience with web performance, accessibility, security, and scalability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration across product, design, and backend teams.
