Tech Lead, Web Core Product & Chrome Extension - Natal, Brazil

Speechify is seeking a Tech Lead to own the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension for our Natal, Brazil team. You will shape the technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver fast, reliable web experiences for our users.

Overview

This on-site role focuses on leading frontend architecture and delivering high-quality features for Speechify’s web platform and Chrome extension. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical roadmap for the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension
• Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers; drive best practices and code quality
• Architect scalable frontend solutions with a focus on performance and accessibility
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to plan and ship features
• Review code, mentor peers, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software
• Ensure security, privacy, and reliability in web experiences

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend development experience with modern web technologies
• Strong JavaScript/HTML/CSS skills; experience with Chrome extension development is a plus
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Experience delivering scalable web applications and improving performance
