Tech Lead, Web Core Product & Chrome Extension - Speechify (Lodz, Poland)

Speechify is seeking a Tech Lead to drive the development of our web core product and Chrome extension from Lodz, Poland. You will lead a talented cross-functional team, own architectural decisions, and help deliver a fast, accessible web experience for users worldwide.

Role Overview

Lead the technical direction, define coding standards, and mentor engineers to build a robust web platform and Chrome extension that aligns with product goals and user needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and technical roadmap for the web core product and Chrome extension
• Establish coding standards, review processes, and performance best practices
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA to ship high-quality features on schedule
• Mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and drive code quality across the team
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to deliver scalable and reliable software

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks
• Experience with Chrome extensions and web performance optimization
• Familiarity with build tools, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
