Tech Lead, Web Core Product & Chrome Extension - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Overview

Speechify is seeking a Senior Tech Lead for the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension, based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. You will guide the technical direction of our core web experience, mentor engineers, and own the Chrome extension efforts that power our product.

Responsibilities

• Set technical vision and lead architecture for the web core product and Chrome extension.
• Drive frontend development using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and a frontend framework (e.g., React).
• Mentor and grow a high-performing frontend team; review code, enforce quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver scalable, accessible, and reliable features.
• Ensure robust testing, CI/CD, monitoring, performance optimization, and security best practices.
• Contribute to product strategy and roadmap.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of frontend engineering experience; strong leadership experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript; experience with React or similar frameworks.
• Experience with Chrome extension development is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to drive projects cross-functionally.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
