Overview

Speechify is seeking a Tech Lead for the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension in Dhaka, Bangladesh. You will lead the frontend engineering efforts for Speechify’s web applications and Chrome extension, shape the technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality, scalable, accessible software.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend development for the web core product and Chrome extension.
• Define technical roadmap and architecture decisions.
• Build and maintain scalable UI components using JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver features.
• Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
• Ensure performance, security, accessibility, and test coverage.
• Champion CI/CD, testing strategies, and release processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of frontend development experience.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Experience building Chrome extensions and modern single-page web apps.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Experience with performance optimization, accessibility, and testing.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Next.js, Redux, GraphQL, Node.js, CSS-in-JS, REST APIs.
