Role Overview

Speechify is seeking a Tech Lead for the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension, based in Delhi, India. You will drive frontend architecture, mentor engineers, and deliver high-impact features for the Speechify web platform and Chrome extension.

Responsibilities

• Lead the frontend development of the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension
• Define and own the technical roadmap, architecture, and design decisions
• Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and promote best practices
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ship high-quality features
• Ensure performance, accessibility, security, and internationalization considerations
• Build and maintain scalable frontend systems with modern tooling

Requirements

• Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React)
• Proven track record leading frontend teams and delivering complex features
• Experience building Chrome extensions or similar browser extension projects
• Familiarity with testing (Jest, Cypress), CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools
• Knowledge of web performance optimization, accessibility, and security best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
