Job Description
Speechify is seeking a Senior Tech Lead for the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension to shape the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of our web platform. Based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, you will lead frontend engineers, collaborate with product and design, and drive high-quality, performant web experiences.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the technical roadmap for the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension
- Lead frontend architecture and code quality, mentoring engineers
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to ship features on time
- Ensure performance, accessibility, and security best practices
- Participate in hiring and team development
Qualifications
- 5+ years of frontend development experience with a track record of delivering complex web products
- Proven leadership experience as a tech lead or engineering manager
- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frontend frameworks, and web performance
- Experience with Chrome extension development is a plus
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
