Tech Lead, Web Core Product & Chrome Extension - Campinas, Brazil

Overview

Speechify is seeking a Senior Tech Lead to own the technical direction of our Web Core Product and Chrome Extension from Campinas, Brazil. You will lead architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and design to deliver high-quality features for our web platform and Chrome extension.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical strategy for the web core product and Chrome extension.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing frontend team.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define roadmaps and deliver measurable impact.
• Own end-to-end delivery, including code quality, testing, deployment, and performance optimization.
• Ensure accessibility, performance, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
• Drive code reviews, tooling, and development standards across the team.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to hire, onboard, and retain top frontend talent.

Requirements

• 6+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with React and building Chrome extensions.
• Proven leadership experience (Tech Lead, Team Lead, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD, testing frameworks, and frontend tooling.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent).
