Role overview

Tech Lead, Web Core Product & Chrome Extension based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. You will lead the architecture and delivery of Speechify's web core product and Chrome extension, mentor frontend engineers, and drive high-quality feature delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for the web core product and Chrome extension.
• Mentor and grow a team of frontend engineers.
• Define system architecture, coding standards, testing strategy, and release processes.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver user-focused features.
• Improve performance, accessibility, and reliability of web experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with React and Chrome extension development.
• Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and testing methodologies.
• Experience leading teams and delivering features end-to-end.

Nice to have

• Experience with browser APIs, build tools (Webpack or Vite), CI/CD, and cloud services.

Location and work model

Location: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Work model: on-site.
