Tech Lead, Web Core Product & Chrome Extension at Speechify

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India (On-site).

Speechify is looking for a proactive and collaborative Tech Lead to own the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension. You will guide the technical strategy, mentor engineers, and ship high-quality features that power our core web experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the web platform and Chrome extension, including architecture, code quality, and performance.
• Collaborate with product, design, and growth teams to deliver scalable web features.
• Drive code reviews, set engineering standards, and mentor engineers across squads.
• Define and implement robust testing, CI/CD, and release processes.
• Ensure accessibility, security, and reliability of web products.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a track record of shipping web features.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with experience building and leading high-performing teams.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web technologies; experience with Chrome Extensions is a plus.
• Experience with product-focused development, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and delivering measurable impact.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
