Speechify is hiring a Tech Lead for the Web Core Product and Chrome Extension in Taipei, Taiwan. This on-site role will shape the frontend architecture, drive the technical roadmap, and mentor a growing engineering team responsible for the core web experience used by readers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of the web core product and Chrome Extension
- Define coding standards, review code, and mentor engineers
- Drive performance, accessibility, testing, security, and reliability
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to ship features end-to-end
- Own technical roadmap, project planning, and risk management
- Advocate best practices for maintainability and scale
Qualifications
- 6+ years frontend development experience; 2+ years in a leadership role
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, and React
- Experience building Chrome Extensions and optimizing web performance
- Deep knowledge of frontend architecture, design patterns, and CI/CD
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to grow a team
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and modern testing frameworks
