About Speechify

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Platform in Niterói, Brazil to help build and scale our platform infrastructure. In this role, you will design and implement resilient backend services, APIs, and tooling that power Speechify's products. You'll collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver high-performance features, improve reliability, and drive platform improvements.

The Role

As a Software Engineer, Platform, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable platform components that support Speechify's products and services. You will work with cross-functional teams to turn complex requirements into robust, maintainable systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Contribute to architecture decisions and system design
• Improve reliability, monitoring, and incident response
• Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud services
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java)
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and containerization (Docker)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, observability tooling, or event-driven architectures
