About Speechify

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Platform to join the Platform team in Kharkiv, Ukraine. This role focuses on building scalable backend platform services that power Speechify's text-to-speech platform and content processing workflows.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain platform services and APIs supporting Speechify's core products.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into robust software.
• Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and testing strategies.
• Improve reliability, performance, and scalability of distributed systems.
• Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on quality and testability.

What we're looking for

• Strong experience in at least one backend language (Python, Go, or Node.js).
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, databases (PostgreSQL), and cloud tooling (AWS, Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with microservices, REST or GraphQL APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: experience with media processing or text-to-speech platforms.
