Software Engineer, Platform - Belo Horizonte, Brazil

Overview

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Platform to join our Belo Horizonte, Brazil team. You will help build and scale the core platform that powers Speechify's products.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform services and APIs that power Speechify's core experiences.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to define scalable solutions.
• Improve reliability, performance, and observability of the platform.
• Build and maintain deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Mentor and collaborate with engineers to drive quality and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong backend experience with Python and/or Go.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and caching (Redis).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures or data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Speechify or text-to-speech domain is a plus.
