Overview

Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer, Platform to join our team in Natal, Brazil. You will design and build scalable backend services that power Speechify's listening experience.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for the Speechify platform
Collaborate with product, data, and infra teams to deliver reliable features
Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; ensure monitoring and alerting
Optimize performance, reliability, and security
Contribute to architecture decisions and documentation
Participate in on-call rotations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; 3+ years of software engineering experience
Experience with distributed systems and backend services
Proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Go, or Node.js)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with databases (PostgreSQL or other SQL/NoSQL)
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and CI/CD
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
