Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Platform in Katowice, Poland to design, build, and maintain scalable platform services powering Speechify products. This on-site role collaborates with product, design, and data teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

Role Overview

As a Platform Software Engineer, you will contribute to backend services, APIs, routing, data coordination, and infrastructure that enable Speechify features at scale. You will participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment, and help improve observability and reliability across the platform.

Responsibilities

Design and implement platform services and APIs.
Build scalable, reliable backend components.
Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to define requirements.
Write clean, well-tested code and maintain documentation.
Contribute to deployment pipelines, monitoring, and incident response.
Improve performance, scalability, and observability of platform systems.

Qualifications

2+ years of software engineering experience (industry standard).
Experience with backend languages and distributed systems (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
Familiarity with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD.
Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work on-site in Katowice.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
