About the Role

As a Software Engineer on the Platform team, you will design and implement scalable backend services and infrastructure that power Speechify's core platform. You will collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and maintain platform services and internal APIs
Build and evolve scalable backend systems and data pipelines
Improve reliability, performance, monitoring, and incident response
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features that impact users
Mentor teammates and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

Strong software engineering background with hands-on backend development experience
Experience building platform services, APIs, or distributed systems
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficiency in at least one major backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js)
Ability to work on-site in Busan, South Korea, with excellent communication skills
