Job Description
Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, iOS Core Product in Taipei, Taiwan to join our engineering team. In this role you will design, implement, and maintain features for the iOS app, collaborate with product and design teams, optimize for performance, and help shape the core product.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain features for the Speechify iOS core product using Swift, UIKit and SwiftUI
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code; implement unit and UI tests
- Improve app performance, memory usage, and battery life; optimize for accessibility and localization
- Review code, contribute to architecture decisions, and participate in CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot and fix production issues to maintain reliability
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional iOS development experience
- Strong proficiency in Swift; experience with UIKit and SwiftUI
- Experience with iOS networking (REST/JSON) and data storage (CoreData or similar)
- Familiarity with XCTest and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficient with Git and modern software development practices
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
