Overview

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer for the iOS Core Product to join our team in Salvador, Brazil. This on-site role focuses on building high-quality iOS applications that power Speechify's core product experiences.

Role Summary

As a Software Engineer on the iOS Core Product team, you will design, implement, and maintain features for Speechify’s mobile experience. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver impactful features with a focus on performance, accessibility, and a great user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain iOS apps for Speechify's core product
• Write clean, maintainable Swift code with unit tests
• Collaborate with product and design teams to implement features
• Participate in code reviews, architecture decisions, and CI/CD processes
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and accessibility
• Ensure release readiness and app quality
• Contribute to technical decisions and product planning

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional iOS development (Swift)
• Experience with UIKit and/or SwiftUI
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON
• Knowledge of Xcode, CI/CD, and testing frameworks
• Understanding of accessibility and performance considerations
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Experience with audio/video frameworks and offline caching
• Knowledge of Swift Package Manager and dependency management
