Software Engineer, iOS Core Product - Recife, Brazil

Job Overview

Speechify is looking for a Software Engineer, iOS Core Product to join our Recife, Brazil team. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of Speechify’s iOS app, collaborating with product, design, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C
• Implement new features for the iOS Core Product with focus on performance, reliability, and user experience
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ship features end-to-end
• Write unit and UI tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain code quality
• Support release processes, CI/CD pipelines, and App Store deployments
• Identify and fix performance or stability issues in production

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional iOS development experience
• Strong proficiency with Swift; Objective-C experience is a plus
• Experience with UIKit and SwiftUI, Xcode, and iOS SDKs
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend service integration
• Experience with MVVM or similar architectural patterns
• Passion for delivering polished, accessible mobile experiences
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Experience with App Store submissions and TestFlight
• Knowledge of Combine, Core Data, or other iOS frameworks
• Performance profiling with Instruments
