Overview
Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, iOS Core Product to join our Osaka, Japan team. You will help build and scale the iOS app that powers Speechify's core reading experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain features for the iOS core product.
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.
- Improve app architecture, performance, and stability; participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment.
- Write clean, well-documented Swift code and contribute to ongoing quality improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with iOS development trends and best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional iOS development experience.
- Proficient in Swift; strong knowledge of iOS frameworks (UIKit, SwiftUI).
- Experience shipping apps to the App Store; familiarity with RESTful APIs and networking.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills; experience with automated testing (XCTest) and CI/CD is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
