Software Engineer, iOS Core Product - Odesa, Ukraine

Role overview

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, iOS Core Product to join our team in Odesa, Ukraine. In this role you will design, implement, and maintain features for Speechify's core iOS experience, working closely with product and design to deliver polished, high-quality mobile software for millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain features for Speechify's iOS app
• Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to deliver a cohesive user experience
• Write clean, maintainable Swift code using UIKit and SwiftUI
• Implement networking, data persistence and offline support
• Optimize performance, memory usage and battery life
• Participate in code reviews, unit tests and CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ongoing technical debt reduction

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional iOS development
• Strong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS frameworks (UIKit, SwiftUI)
• Experience with Xcode and testing/QA tooling
• Familiarity with REST/JSON, networking in iOS
• Experience with data persistence (Core Data or similar)
• Knowledge of Git and modern CI/CD workflows
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
