Speechify – Software Engineer, iOS Core Product

Location: Kharkiv, Ukraine. Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join its iOS Core Product team in Kharkiv. This role focuses on building high-quality iOS features that power Speechify's core reading experience. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver reliable, well-tested software that scales with growing user demand.

Overview

As part of the iOS Core Product group, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of key iOS features, ensuring a fast, accessible, and delightful user experience for Speechify customers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain iOS core product features for the Speechify app
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define requirements and plan milestones
• Write clean, maintainable Swift code with unit tests and UI tests
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and battery life
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions
• Contribute to release planning, CI/CD pipelines, and quality metrics

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional iOS development
• Proficiency in Swift and either UIKit or SwiftUI (or both)
• Experience with networking (REST/JSON), error handling, and data persistence (Core Data, Realm, or similar)
• Familiarity with MVVM or similar architectural patterns
• Experience with testing frameworks and performance profiling
• Nice to have: Swift Concurrency, Combine, Core Data advanced features, and experience with Swift Package Manager
