Overview

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, iOS Core Product to join our team in Kathmandu, Nepal. In this role you will contribute to building and maintaining Speechify's core iOS applications, delivering fast, accessible, and delightful reading experiences to users.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain iOS apps using Swift
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to implement new features
• Improve performance and memory usage; optimize startup time
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a high-quality codebase
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Ensure accessibility, localization, and overall app quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional iOS development experience
• Proficient in Swift and UIKit; experience with SwiftUI is a plus
• Familiar with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Experience with MVVM or similar architectures and version control (Git)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
