Speechify is a leading text-to-speech technology company focused on delivering a high-quality listening experience. We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our iOS core product team in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The Role

As a Software Engineer on the iOS Core Product team, you will design, implement, and maintain features for our iOS app, collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver a polished, high-performance experience for millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for the iOS app using Swift and UIKit (with potential exposure to SwiftUI)
• Integrate with RESTful APIs, manage data formatting, caching, and offline support
• Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD improvements
• Profile performance, optimize memory usage and battery life, and ensure a high-quality user experience
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into robust, maintainable code

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional iOS development
• Strong Swift experience and proficiency with UIKit
• Experience consuming REST APIs and handling JSON data
• Familiarity with testing, debugging, and basic CI/CD workflows
• Good communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with MVVM or other modern iOS architectures
• Exposure to SwiftUI, CoreData, or Combine
• App Store deployment experience
