Speechify - Software Engineer, iOS Core Product

Location: Dnipro, Ukraine. This is an on-site role with Speechify's iOS core product team.

About the role

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to help build and maintain the iOS app that powers our core product. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to deliver a high-quality user experience for millions of readers around the world. You will take features from design to release and contribute to the platform's architecture and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for the iOS core product using Swift
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
• Implement UI components using UIKit and/or SwiftUI
• Integrate with backend RESTful APIs and ensure app performance and reliability
• Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
• Invest in app quality, performance optimization, and localization when needed

Qualifications

• Strong experience with iOS development in Swift
• Proficiency with UIKit and/or SwiftUI
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs

Nice-to-have

• MVVM architecture, Core Data, XCTest
• CI/CD experience and familiarity with App Store release processes
• Localization experience
