About the role
Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer for the iOS Core Product based in Belgrade, Serbia. You will contribute to building and evolving the core iOS app used by millions of readers.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain the Speechify iOS core product
- Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to ship features
- Write clean, maintainable Swift code and leverage UIKit/SwiftUI
- Ensure performance, accessibility, and app stability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
- Build and maintain test suites; contribute to CI/CD processes
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional iOS development experience
- Strong proficiency with Swift and either UIKit or SwiftUI
- Experience consuming REST APIs, JSON, and data persistence (Core Data)
- Familiarity with Git, debugging, and performance profiling
- Nice to have: Combine, Swift concurrency, and experience with testing frameworks
