Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Yokohama, Japan
Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to help design and build scalable data infrastructure and data acquisition systems in Yokohama, Japan. This role will collaborate with our data and product teams to enable reliable data pipelines that power Speechify’s products.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain data ingestion and processing pipelines.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure data quality and reliability.
- Develop and optimize data models, ETL processes, and storage solutions.
- Monitor performance, reliability, and scale of data systems.
What we’re looking for
- Experience with Python, SQL, and data tooling.
- Strong knowledge of data pipelines and ETL concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and data warehouses.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Airflow or other orchestration tools.
- Experience with streaming data and real-time ingestion.
