Role Overview
Speechify is looking for a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition to join our Vancouver, Canada team. You will design and implement data ingestion pipelines, data storage infrastructure, and tooling to enable reliable data-driven insights across the product.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain data ingestion and acquisition pipelines
- Collaborate with data scientists, platform engineers, and product teams to define data models and APIs
- Develop scalable data infrastructure on cloud platforms and ensure data quality and observability
- Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to architectural decisions
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a software engineer with a focus on data infrastructure or data engineering
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL, and cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Redshift/Snowflake)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or similar tooling
- Familiarity with data warehousing, analytics, and monitoring
