Overview

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition to join our team in Sheffield, United Kingdom. In this role you will build and maintain data infrastructure and data ingestion pipelines to support analytics, product features, and user insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure that ingest data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with data science, analytics and product teams to ensure timely, accurate data for analyses and features.
• Implement and monitor ETL processes, data quality checks, and data lineage.
• Optimize data storage, performance and reliability in a cloud environment.
• Document data schemas, pipelines and best practices; contribute to data governance.

Requirements

• Experience in data engineering or backend engineering with a focus on data pipelines and data acquisition.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with data processing frameworks and SQL engines.
• Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS or similar) and version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills.
