Overview

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition to join our engineering team in Salvador, Brazil. This role focuses on building reliable data ingestion pipelines, storage strategies, and tooling that enable fast, scalable access to high-quality data for product features, analytics, and experiments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion and acquisition pipelines from multiple sources
• Build robust data storage solutions and metadata management
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and backend teams to define data models and APIs
• Monitor data quality, reliability, and performance; implement monitoring and alerting
• Improve data processing workflows and scale data infrastructure as Speechify grows

Qualifications

• Software engineering experience with a focus on data systems
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala)
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, SQL, and cloud data services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with data quality, governance, and security best practices
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
