Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Recife, Brazil

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Recife team to design and build data ingestion pipelines and scalable data infrastructure that power our product and analytics.

Overview

Join Speechify in Recife to design and build robust data infrastructure and acquisition pipelines that enable scalable data collection, storage, and access for product features and data science initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources
• Build robust data infrastructure to support analytics, product features, and user insights
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure data quality, lineage, and accessibility
• Optimize data models, storage, and processing for performance and cost
• Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and implement monitoring and alerting
• Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering with a focus on data
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Apache Beam) is a plus
• Experience with ETL/ELT and data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent)
