Speechify is a leading language technology company dedicated to helping people read, learn, and stay productive. We are seeking a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition to join our team in Natal, Brazil.

Role Overview

You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and the infrastructure that powers Speechify’s data platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on data ingestion, storage, and access to enable analytics and product features.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data ingestion pipelines for analytics and product features.
• Build scalable data infrastructure to ingest, store, and process data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analytics teams to define data models and metrics.
• Improve data quality, monitoring, and governance across data platforms.
• Optimize pipelines for performance and cost and ensure reliable operation in production.
• Document architectures and provide clear technical guidance to teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of software engineering experience with data platforms and pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with ETL processes, data ingestion, and cloud data services (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Experience with data tooling such as Apache Airflow, streaming/batch processing, version control, and testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; English required; Portuguese a plus.
