Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Lviv, Ukraine

Overview

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition in Lviv, Ukraine to design, build, and scale data pipelines and the data infrastructure that powers Speechify's analytics, product features, and AI initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team to improve data quality, reliability, and accessibility across the company.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources
• Build and optimize data storage and processing infrastructure to support analytics and experimentation
• Collaborate with data scientists, analytics, and product teams to define data requirements and ensure data quality
• Monitor data quality, lineage, reliability, and performance; implement monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Improve ETL processes, data modeling, and data governance to ensure security and compliance
• Participate in code reviews, write clear documentation, and contribute to best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on data infrastructure or data engineering
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies
• Experience with data pipelines and tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
