Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Lodz, Poland

Overview

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition to join our team in Lodz, Poland. You will design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and data acquisition systems that power our product and analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust data ingestion and processing pipelines
• Collaborate with data analysts and product teams to understand data needs
• Design scalable data models and storage solutions
• Develop monitoring and quality controls for data reliability
• Optimize data processing performance and cost
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience in data engineering or data infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and data tooling
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data quality principles
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming data (Kafka, Kinesis) and pipelines
• Familiarity with data governance and security practices
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
