Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Gothenburg, Sweden

Job Description

Speechify is looking for a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition to join our team in Gothenburg, Sweden. In this role you will design and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that power Speechify's data platform. You will build data ingestion and processing systems, ensure data quality and reliability, and enable analytics for product and growth teams. You will collaborate with data science, engineering, and analytics partners to onboard new data sources, optimize data flows, and implement monitoring and security best practices. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of software engineering with a focus on data infrastructure, strong SQL skills, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala). Familiarity with ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data governance is a plus. This is a full-time on-site role based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software engineering with a focus on data infrastructure

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data governance
